How long have those LED lights lasted? A couple of years? This British man, Ross Shaddick, has Christmas lights on his tree that are ten years older than he is. His parents bought them in 1969 for 3 pounds (what $6 Canadian?) and he’s never had to change a bulb. He does baby them now, being extra careful when storing to keep them lasting as long as possible. He’s hoping they make it to 50 years. They don’t make them like they used to.
What is the oldest Christmas decoration you own? Some pass them on generation to generation. This is ours. This choir boy was on top of my parents’ Christmas tree for the first time when they were married in 1966 and now it’s on ours.
