HOW YOU CAN HELP
The federal government will match donations individuals make to the Canadian Red Cross to help bring humanitarian relief to Ukraine, according to The Canadian Press. The campaign, which will begin Friday and run until March 18, will see the government match donations by Canadians dollar for dollar to a maximum of $10 million.

The Canada-Ukraine Foundation has a joint fundraising initiative with The Ukrainian Canadian Congress; the main efforts will be to provide humanitarian assistance and relief in the areas of Assistance to displaced persons, Medical care, Emergency shelter and Food security.

Amnesty International launched a crisis campaign, collecting funds to protect internally displaced populations and refugees, monitor and investigate human rights violations, and defend individuals likely to be targeted, like human rights defenders, journalists and LGBTI Ukrainians.
