Born in North London with Scottish roots, Rod Stewart first made his mark in the 1960s performing with Long John Baldry, Steampacket, and Shotgun Express, before achieving wider fame through his work with Jeff Beck and The Faces.

Launching a solo career that would define generations, Stewart delivered some of the biggest hits in music history, including “Maggie May,” “Forever Young,” “Rhythm of My Heart,” “Tonight’s the Night,” “I Don’t Want to Talk About It,” “You Wear It Well,” and “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy.”

In the 2000s, Stewart recorded five acclaimed volumes of The Great American Songbook series, creating the biggest-selling ongoing series of new music recordings in history. He reignited his passion for songwriting with 2013’s Time, a double-platinum, chart-topping album in the U.K. that reached the Top 10 in more than ten countries. He revisited his greatest hits on You’re in My Heart: Rod Stewart with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, which spent three weeks at No. 1 and became his tenth chart-topping album.

In 2024, Stewart released his 33rd studio album, Swing Fever, a collaboration with Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra. The lively tribute to the big band era debuted at No. 1 in the U.K., earning Stewart his 11th career chart-topper and placing him alongside David Bowie, Taylor Swift, and U2 among artists with the most No. 1 albums in U.K. history.

That same year, Stewart embarked on his One Last Time World Tour, a global box-office phenomenon ranked among the Top 20 Global Concert Tours of 2024, with sold-out shows across North America, Europe, and South America. In Las Vegas, his record-setting 13-year residency, Rod Stewart: The Hits, became one of the most successful runs in Caesars Palace history. By overwhelming demand, he returned with The Encore Shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Across his unparalleled career, Stewart has achieved 10 U.K. No. 1 albums, 31 U.K. Top 10 singles, 17 U.S. Top 10 albums, and 16 U.S. Top 10 singles. His accolades include induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (twice), the ASCAP Founders Award, Grammy™ Living Legend Award, Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, UK Music Hall of Fame, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the American Music Awards Lifetime Achievement Award.

In 2016, he received his most cherished honor—a knighthood at Buckingham Palace—for his services to music and charity.
