Several Swedish alt-rock bands had good runs from the mid-to-late 90s and early 2000s. That included Soundtrack of Our Lives, The Hives, and The Cardigans. Led by the pixie-ish Nina Persson, they did well in North America with their fourth album, Grand Turismo, helped along by this track, which was a little more intense than the cutesy singles that had come before. Once you hear it again, that “hey-hey” part of the chorus will be in your head for the rest of the day. Sorry about that.
