Pearl Jam is a band that has always done things their way. Everything they do–from their management offices to their fan club to their charity to their rehearsal space–is run out of a former factory building off the interstate in suburban Seattle.
It doesn’t look like much–just a run-down-looking orange and green building with the words Audio Visual Factory on stenciled on the front door. As you might guess, there’s a lot of cool stuff within these walls. For example, Eddie Vedder was close friends with the late Johnny Ramone. He gave the band a giant Ramones backdrop, which is proudly hung on one wall. And for some reason, a suit once worn by Sammy Davis Jr is displayed in a frame in one of the offices.
Hey, they’re Pearl Jam. They can do what they want.
