Ongoing History Daily: Tracking down real-world Red Hot Chili Peppers landmarks

It’s always interesting when you find that something from a favourite song on an album has an analogue in the real world. Let’s look at the Red Hot Chili Peppers. What bridge is Anthony Kiedis singing about in “Under the Bridge?” Internet sleuths managed to track it down to a bridge in LA’s MacArthur Park over a tunnel that crosses Wilshire Boulevard linking Sixth and Union Street.

Now, someone using Google Earth says they’ve found the swimming pool we see on the cover of the Californication album. A YouTuber who goes by the name GeoWizard scoured homes in the canyons of Los Angeles looking for a south-facing swimming pool. He found it at 2227 Summitridge Drive in Beverly Hills.

Now that the word is out, I wonder how many people will be knocking on the door, annoying the current residents?
