The best years of The Prodigy began on June 30, 1997, when they released the brilliant Fat of the Land album. When it rocketed up the charts and as The Prodigy began to dominate the newly christened electronic scene (remember that word?), people began to openly wonder if guitar-based rock was dead. It wasn’t, of course, but for a while, bands like The Prodigy gave rock purists a scare.
Breathe was the third single from the album and their second consecutive number one in the UK. It was also a top ten hit in Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. It reached number 28 on the Canadian alternative chart.
