There are plenty of scary songs from all genres. But what’s the most terrifying, the most frightening song of all? It might be a 10-minute track called “Frankie Teardrop” by a New York band called Suicide, which was released in 1977.
It tells the story of a factory worker, a poor young father, who is depressed about his existence. He ends up murdering his wife and child before killing himself and ends up in hell. Singer Alan Vega is an excellent screamer, so the terror really comes through.
You can try to make it through the entire song, but beware. Many people cannot, and even then, they end up with horrible nightmares.
