When it comes to rare and valuable vinyl, no one ever thinks of Christmas records. But there’s at least one–and it could be the most collectible Christmas album in the universe.
In 1977, not long after the Sex Pistols signed with Virgin Records, the label sent out a one-sided flexi-disc to journalists as a Christmas card. It was a thin piece of plastic, not much thicker than the page of a glossy magazine cover. It was called Lentimas: A Seasonal Offering to You from Virgin Records and featured the Sex Pistols singing.
It’s not known how many were sent out or how many still survive. But if you can find one, expect to part with at least $2,500 for this piece of plastic Christmas cheer.
