Alan Cross sat down with engineer, producer and self-proclaimed “Knob Twiddler”, Eddie Kramer, to discuss his work with Jimi Hendrix and his current involvement in Toronto’s rock’n’roll dive bar, the El Mocambo.
Kramer has collaborated with artists such as the Beatles, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, The Kinks, Kiss, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Carlos Santana, and of course Jimi Hendrix. Watch below to find out what he’s doing with previously lost Hendrix recordings, and his work alongside studio architect John Storyk and Dragon’s Den star Michael Wekerle since Wekerle bought the Elmo for $3.6 million.
