Daryl Hall & John Oates with Tears for Fears @ Air Canada Centre

Armed with meaningful lyrics and pitch perfect harmonies, Tears for Fears and Hall & Oates took the Air Canada Centre by storm during their latest stop in Toronto.

Opening with the huge hit “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”, Tears for Fears had the crowd on their feet from note one. Joking with the audience and sharing cherished stories, the band made sure to share the special place that Toronto has in their hearts. Now of course, every band says that the city they are in has the best fans, the best teams and pretty much anything else that will make the venue erupt with screams and cheers but in this case, it’s actually true. During a multi-show stint at Massey Hall, the guys first found out that their song “Head Over Heels” had gone #1, making Toronto the place that signifies the beginning of their decades long success!

Hall & Oates kept the night going strong, rocking through their catalog and slowing down for a few ballads along the way. Full of guitar solos and unbelievable high notes, their set came packed with hits including “Maneater”, “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)”, and of course “Rich Girl” which had the crowd dancing through the aisles as they belted out the lyrics with heart and soul.

A night full of laughter and music that left the audience screaming for more, this tour is exactly as promised. Impeccable talent with a stage presence to match, the Tears for Fears / Hall & Oates double bill provides the perfect concert experience that would make any music lover’s dreams come true.
