The First Time Mike Myers Heard Bohemian Rhapsody

Mike Myers has a public relationship with Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody stretching back to his 1993 motion picture Wayne’s World.

In the film, Garth (played by Dana Carvey) and the titular Wayne bang their heads to the iconic song.

When the studio first refused to acquire the rights, Myers threatened to cancel the entire film–the song was that important to him.

The Scarborough native first heard the song 18 years prior while driving on the Don Valley Parkway.

(If you can find a more Torontonian sentence than that, we’d love to hear it.)
